Mount Agung is the highest mountain in Bali with 3,033 meters above sea level. This is also the home of Besakih temple and Pasar Agung Temple. There two starting point for this trekking, starting point from Besakih and Pasar Agung Temple.
Pasar Agung starting point goes to southern peak and we begin about 2.00 pm and the total climbing time is about 7 to 8 hours. The Besakih Temple starting point takes you to the higher western peak and begins at approximately 11.30 pm take about 12 hours in total trekking.
At the top it can get quit cold and windy but it will be worth it when the sun start to rise and you will be able to gaze out at the entire island of Bali from above as well as neighboring island of Lombok and Nusa Penida. After the spectacular moment we will enjoying some hot drinks and snacks and then begin our decent down the mountain.
Itinerary:
- Pickup to your hotel
- 01.03 - 01.45 am: Arrive at starting poin, introduction and safety procedure briefing by our English speaking tour guide
- 01.45 am: Begin our climb to the summit and sunrise point
- 06.00 am: Arrival the summit where we witness the spectacular view and sunrise while enjoying hot drinks and light snacks
- 07.30 am: Begin our descent to Pasar Agung Temple, the finishing point of our trek
- 11.00 - 11.15 am: Arrival at Pasar Agung Temple and boarding car or mini bus
- 12.30 pm: Arrival at Bali Sunrise Villa for relaxing the buffet lunch
- 13.15 - 13.30 pm: Boarding car or mini bus back to your hotel or your next tour
